Meet Jamie Fletcher-Parker, SBD
In 2011, Jamie completed her birth doula training through DONA International. Prior to beginning her study, Jamie had an interest in serving the people in our under-served communities, especially those families giving birth to babies with life-limiting conditions or who may be born still. Unable to find a program that would really meet those needs, Jamie chose a traditional doula training program and excelled. Jamie is proud to have studied under Patty Brennan at the Center for the Childbearing Year in Ann Arbor, MI.
A few years later, Jamie learned of Stillbirthday, an organization that recognizes that every life, no matter how brief, matters. Stillbirthday is a product of the fantastic Heidi Faith, also a bereaved mother, and is a wealth of information for families experiencing the loss of their child in any trimester. Stillbirthday is beneficial for families, friends, medical professionals and everyone in between. Jamie entered the Stillbirthday Birth & Bereavement doula training program in July, 2014 and intends to spend the duration of her career serving families experiencing the loss of their precious child. Jamie is proud to announce that, on September 23, 2014, she gained credentials certifying her as a Stillbirthday birth and bereavement doula.
Jamie is also certified in CPR and Psychological First Aid. She is working on additional certifications to ensure she is best able to support every family, in any outcome.
Jamie is the wife of Daniel Parker, the mother of Helen Parker and a daughter of the one true King. The Parker family resides in Hazel Park, MI. Jamie offers support to families regardless of their belief system and will support families in any trimester and is also available to serve families who have previously lost a child when they are expecting their "rainbow" baby, or a subsequent baby after a loss. Jamie offers support during home births and in all hospitals in Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties. Washtenaw and Livingston counties are also covered by arrangement. Jamie has also trained as a small group leader to work with families who are recovering from an abortion at any point in their life and are seeking a Christ-centered recovery and wish to experience the forgiveness Christ can offer to those who mourn that decision.

God doesn't call the qualified. He qualifies the called.
